This is me...
Story teller. photographer. adventure seeker.
I love exploring the mountains. I love my animals. I love finding cool bars and live music on the weekends with my friends.
I live for the post-work hikes and trail rides and the weekend camping road trips.
And I am OBSESSED with capturing life through my camera.
Living the Western Lifestyle in Bozeman, Montana and exploring all that I can of the western United States.
I grew up in Northern Wisconsin where I spent most of my time outdoors. I loved skiing and biking and exploring the beautiful scenery that the Northwoods has to offer.
I don't remember specifically the first time I picked up a camera, but do remember a few of the things that inspired me to capture images. My grandmother was a watercolor artist and she was constantly painting stunning landscapes and up close works of the beautiful autumn colors that we had in Wisconsin every year. Since I was abysmal with a brush and paper, I decided one day to take my mother's DSLR camera out to attempt to capture that same beauty on camera,
I also loved taking my mom's camera to bike and ski races to capture the energy and elegance of the racers in categories I was not competing in. I never took photography seriously as I was growing up, but did get out to play around with the camera every now and then. It was such a fun way for me to be creative in a way I understood.
Jump forward to the end of my senior year in college, COVID hit and I suddenly had too much time on my hands and limited access to my old hobbies. Enter McKinley, my Siberian Husky. With a new puppy with striking features in my life and endless amounts of boredom, I purchased my first camera to play around with. This led to an Instagram account dedicated to my fluffy boy and a whole new online community of outdoor, animal loving, photographer friends who taught me so much of what I know now. By sharing our photography journeys we grew together and my passion for capturing stories exploded into what it is today.
As the months and years went by, I shifted from shooting primarily canine subjects to capturing friends and family and even the gear and products I use and love in every day life.
Now I create content that showcases the Western Lifestyle and the people that live it, in addition to shooting portrait and lifestyle photos for my local community, and I couldn't love it more!
